Main responsibilities
- Conduct CDD/KYC and risk assessment per organization’s risk appetite.
- Monitor, detect and handle risks arising from customers and external parties.
- Facilitate in reporting of suspicious transactions from AML/CFT perspective to managers and authorities.
- Provide AML/CFT & IPPC guidance and training to develop awareness of new joiners and front – line staff on regulatory requirements and the impact of non-compliance on the organization.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual report on compliance for submission to a direct manager.
- Stay updated on changes to Corporate Law, Investment Law, and industry-specific regulations to advise management on necessary actions.
- Draft, review, update and implement Internal Policies, Procedure and Controls (IPPC), ensure alignment with latest laws and regulations.
- Other tasks assigned by Leader/Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, preferably in Law or related fields (Economic Law/Corporate Law/Commercial Law).
- At least 2 years of working experience in relevant positions in Banks/Financial institutions.
- Fluent in English.
- Demonstrating a "preventive mindset" toward legal risk
- Excellent legal drafting and documentation
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal colleagues.
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good computer skills.
- Teamwork and able to work with international colleagues.
- Having a basic knowledge of Corporate Governance is a plus.
