Junior Strategic Procurement Officer

About the company

Conforma NV, a rapidly expanding pharmaceutical company, is looking for a part-time Junior Strategic Procurement Officer with a chemical background to strengthen our procurement team. Our core activities are the production and packaging of liquid and semi-solid medicines and medical devices. We are located in Destelbergen and are an international player with a strong focus on innovation and quality.

Your tasks

• You will search internationally for alternative suppliers of raw materials, with the aim of optimizing procurement costs and increasing security of supply.
• Your responsibilities include:

• Identifying and contacting new, international suppliers.
• Reviewing and comparing specifications and quality documentation with existing requirements.

• Analyzing technical deviations and assessing their potential impact.
• Requesting quotes, comparing prices, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

• Researching alternative suppliers and contributing to better spreading of supply risks (dual/multiple sourcing).
• Documenting your findings and formulating substantiated recommendations.

Requirements

• All communication with international suppliers is conducted in English.
• You have a degree in chemistry, applied chemistry, chemical technology or a similar field.

• You can interpret chemical specifications and parameters.
• You are analytical, accurate, critical, and commercially minded.

• You take initiative and enjoy independently searching for information and solutions.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and professionally in English.

• You have a good knowledge of MS Office.
• You communicate fluently and professionally in English, both orally and in writing.

• Experience in procurement is not a requirement. We also offer starters the opportunity to combine their technical knowledge with international sourcing and strategic procurement.
