Mid-Level Backend Developer (Automations and Integrations)

The mission of the Backend Developer will be to design, develop, and evolve backend solutions focused on the automation of routines and the integration of systems, APIs, and tools used by the networks, infrastructure, security, monitoring, and operations teams. Through standardized, observable, and reliable services, libraries, and integrations, they shall reduce manual activities, increase operational efficiency, ensure process traceability, and promote continuous improvement of the quality and reliability of the deployed solutions.

Responsibilities and assignmentsActivities to be performed:Gather and analyze automation and integration needs together with the engineering, infrastructure, security, monitoring, and operations teams;Design, develop, test, and maintain applications, services, APIs, libraries, and backend routines;Automate technical and operational processes, reducing manual activities, recurring failures, and execution time;Develop integrations between internal systems, third-party platforms, and automation, management, and monitoring tools;Create reusable and standardized components, facilitating the evolution and maintenance of solutions;Implement adequate mechanisms for authentication, error handling, retries, access control, and traceability;Develop and maintain unit and integration tests, ensuring the quality and stability of deliveries;Version code, prepare pull or merge requests, and participate in technical reviews;Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing, validation, packaging, and deployment of applications;Package and execute applications in containers, supporting their deployment and maintenance in corporate environments;Implement structured logs, metrics, traces, alerts, and other observability resources;Monitor the functioning of solutions, investigate failures, and act in the identification and correction of root causes;Apply best practices of architecture, security, performance, documentation, and software development;Produce and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures;Technically support the teams consuming the solutions and provide guidance on their use;Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to efficiency, scalability, reliability, and operational experience;Follow the lifecycle of solutions, from understanding the need to deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and evolution.Requirements and qualificationsEducation:Complete Higher Education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related areas;Post-graduate studies or specialization in related areas will be a differentiator.Professional Experience and Technical Knowledge required:Experience in the development and maintenance of backend applications, services, and automations, including integrations between APIs, internal systems, and infrastructure and operation tools;Professional experience compatible with mid-level performance, demonstrating autonomy to conduct medium complexity demands, investigate problems, propose solutions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams;Mastery of Python for the development of services, libraries, and automation routines, including modularization, dependency management, error handling, and data processing;Experience with Bash and knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript for scripts, automations, and integrations;Experience in the development, consumption, and integration of REST APIs, with knowledge of HTTP, authentication, pagination, webhooks, timeouts, retries, and failure handling;Experience with Git, including branches, commits, pull or merge requests, conflict resolution, code review, and repository organization;Knowledge of relational databases, SQL language, basic data modeling, and application integration with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalents;Knowledge of data serialization and exchange formats, especially JSON, YAML, and XML;Practical knowledge of Linux, including command line, permissions, services, processes, logs, task scheduling, and troubleshooting;Experience with Docker and knowledge of fundamental Kubernetes concepts;Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, diagrams, runbooks, operational procedures, and implementation records;Technical English for reading documentation, analyzing error messages, troubleshooting, and preparing basic technical texts.Desirable/Differentiator:Knowledge of software engineering best practices, such as clean code, separation of concerns, reuse, maintainability, and code review;Experience with unit and integration tests, mocks, code coverage, and test automation;Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools;Knowledge of automation tools and infrastructure as code, especially Ansible and/or Terraform;Knowledge of observability practices, including structured logs, metrics, traces, events, alerts, and application health monitoring;Knowledge of security best practices and secure development, including OWASP Top 10, authentication, authorization, secrets management, permission control, and pipeline security;Knowledge of networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, IP addressing, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and basic or intermediate troubleshooting.Additional informationAdvantages and benefits:Remuneration: R$7.127,05Location: Remote We ask that after applying, you access your registration on the Gupy platform and check if the data is correct and complete.
