Description:

THE CHALLENGE

Guarantee smooth and financially controlled transport operations, from booking to the customer's return, by ensuring service quality, compliance of supplier invoicing, and the satisfaction of customers and internal teams.

The position covers the transport chain from end to end: booking and issuance of tickets, passenger seating, ordering and execution of transfers, management of contingencies on D-day, and control of supplier invoicing. The activity is highly seasonal, with peaks during weekend rotations and school holidays.

HERE IS WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT:

  1. Global management of the transport chain
  • Manage transport operations from booking to customer return, across the three sectors: rail, air, and transfers.
  • Guarantee consistency between what is sold, booked, and executed.
  • Secure seasonal milestones (sales opening, issuance deadlines, school holiday rotations) and anticipate activity peaks.
  1. Bookings and file management
  • Ensure and control bookings, issuances, reissuances, and cancellations (direct, GDS, consolidators), as well as file modifications.
  • Verify fare compliance and monitor issuance and seat retrocession deadlines.
  • Transmit passenger lists to carriers and handle irregularities (delays, cancellations, re-routings).
  1. Passenger seating
  • Define and administer seating rules, optimizing groupings (families, groups, persons with reduced mobility, minors) and the load factor.
  • Adjust manually if necessary, control seating plans before each departure, and evolve rules with IT and carriers.
  1. Station and airport to resort transfers
  • Consolidate transfer needs and order services from coach operators, shuttles, taxis, and VTC.
  • Monitor consistency between bookings, orders, and capacities until D-day, secure execution (schedules, greeting, luggage), and manage incidents.
  • Monitor provider quality and contribute to performance reviews.
  1. Management of transport partners and resellers
  • Act as the operational contact for rail operators, airlines, transfer providers, GDS, consolidators, and resellers.
  • Negotiate and monitor partnership contracts, lead operational meetings, and document incidents and compensation requests.
  • Monitor partner performance and coordinate corrective action plans, in connection with Purchasing and Supplier Relations.
  1. Cost control and invoicing compliance
  • Control transport and transfer supplier invoices: contractual rates, actual volumes, and services effectively performed.
  • Reconcile bookings, executed services, and invoicing; identify and document discrepancies.
  • Manage the resolution of supplier disputes until settlement or credit note.
  • Work with Finance on provisions, closings, and budget monitoring of the transport department.
  • Monitor the actual transport cost per departure and per file and alert on deviations.
  1. On-call and On Duty
  • Participate in the on-call system and fulfill the On Duty role during arrivals, departures, and operational peaks, including some nights.
  • Coordinate teams and providers in real time, make decisions in degraded situations, and manage corrective actions until resolution.
  1. Internal support and continuous improvement
  • Support the Production, Booking, Sales, Groups, and Customer Service teams on transport matters, and contribute to operational procedures and support.
  • Identify possible automations, improve the reliability of transport data, and contribute to tool evolutions.

HERE ARE THE PERFORMANCE INDICATORS TO FOLLOW:

  • Compliance of bookings, issuances, and passenger list transmissions.
  • Compliance of transfer orders and family grouping rate.
  • Occupancy rate of trains and transfer vehicles.
  • Number of transport and transfer incidents, average resolution time.
  • Compliance of supplier invoicing and amount of discrepancies detected and then recovered.
  • Actual transport cost per file compared to budget, claims, and customer satisfaction.
