Master Data Governance Expert - Business (M/F)

Why do we need you? Saint-Gobain is currently leading a major transformation program aimed at deploying a unified SAP S/4HANA Core Model on an international scale. The objective is to harmonize business processes, simplify the application landscape, and establish a single, reliable source for all operational master data.

In this context, the Master Data Governance Expert will join the Business Partner Data Office EMEA and will play a key role in defining, structuring, and securing the Business Partner data model within SAP S/4HANA, Customer MDM, CRM, and Supplier Portal environments.

The position consists of defining and validating master data specifications, ensuring the reliability and consistency of Customer, Supplier, Employee, and Project data, as well as supporting data quality and migration activities, both within the framework of deployment projects and maintenance activities (Run), across several countries.

The Master Data Governance Expert will collaborate closely with business teams and IT teams to validate cross-functional data models, drive data lifecycle governance, and contribute to data profiling, cleansing, and migration activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Facilitate workshops with local teams to deploy data lifecycle management processes, identify gaps, and propose corrective action plans.
• Ensure the successful deployment and testing of master data management processes in SAP MDG and associated tools.
• Define and validate master data specifications relating to Business Partner objects in SAP S/4HANA and Customer MDM.
• Guarantee the reliability, consistency, and integrity of Business Partner data across different systems.
• Document and enrich data models for SAP S/4HANA and MDM, including the data dictionary, business rules, quality rules, and controlled value lists in Collibra.
• Contribute to data profiling, cleansing, and migration activities for France, Germany, future deployments, as well as countries already in production.
• Coordinate exchanges with the Data Offices of different countries to define roles and responsibilities regarding master data governance.
• Provide expertise in data governance, Master Data Management, and data quality management.

Is this position right for you?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Proven experience in Master Data Management, data modeling, and data governance.
• Strong proficiency in SAP S/4HANA (Customer and/or Supplier master data) as well as Master Data Management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and synthesis skills.
• Very good communication and collaboration skills with business and IT stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving, and fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English.

• Experience in the manufacturing or construction industries is a plus.
• Experience with SAP MDG, a Master Data Management (MDM) tool, or Collibra is appreciated.
• Proficiency in data profiling and data quality analysis tools.
