Legal Counsel Northern Europe - Industrial Solutions (M/F)
Why do we need you? To support the activities of the CERAMICS Business Unit (SEFPRO, PCR, ZIRPRO, NORPRO, SGP, VALOREF) and projects related to the construction industry in Northern Europe regarding legal and compliance aspects. This position is primarily focused on contractual activity and generally involves advisory activities for operational teams in all areas of law in connection with specialist and/or regional legal teams.
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel Ceramics, the Legal Counsel provides daily support to BU activities regarding both legal aspects and compliance matters. This support includes notably:
- Contractual Activity
Drafting, negotiating, and monitoring various contracts, in connection with operational teams, including:
- Confidentiality and Material Transfer Agreements (NDA / MTA)
- Commercial contracts (supply of products, industrial and IT solutions - engineering and industrial design services)
- Distribution, commercial agency, and specification contracts
- Purchasing contracts (raw materials, equipment, industrial and IT services)
- Contracts related to R&D projects (co-development, research services)
- Patent and know-how licensing contracts
Updating contractual templates, developing tools and processes to improve the efficiency of legal support, and disseminating best practices, while providing legal support to sales, industrial, and R&D teams on complex projects and in dispute management, in connection with external law firms.
- Compliance
Implementation of Group compliance policies (competition law, anti-corruption, economic sanctions, export control, data protection) and supporting, advising, and training the Ceramics BU teams on these issues in an international environment, with the support of the Senior Legal Counsel.
Is this position right for you?
- 3/5 years of experience in a company and/or law firm, ideally in an international environment
- Master's degree in Business Law
- Very good level of English, both oral and written.
- Good experience in drafting and negotiating international contracts, preferably in the industrial sector.
- Rigor, precision, practical sense, curiosity, team spirit, good interpersonal skills.
- Interest in the industrial world and the construction industry.
