Project and EHS Engineer (M/F)
Why do we need you? Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Operations Manager and the functional responsibility of the Quarries EHS Manager, the Project and EHS Engineer contributes to the deployment of the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policy of the Saint-Gobain Group and Placoplatre, while participating in the site's operations and continuous improvement projects.
Animation and deployment of the EHS approach
Participate in the animation and deployment of the site's EHS policy, in coherence with the Saint-Gobain Group's EHS management system and ISO 14001 certification. Support managers in developing the EHS culture and ensure the proper application of EHS procedures, rules, and standards. Design, animate, and monitor awareness, information, and training actions for employees. Carry out field actions and use safety management tools (safety visits, safety quarters, SHEARO, field visits, etc.). Participate in the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the EHS action plan. Risk prevention, occupational safety, and health
Participate in the identification, evaluation, and updating of occupational risks at workstations. Ensure the proper management of EHS events (near-misses, medical treatment, accidents), by ensuring declarations, analyses, reconstructions, and the monitoring of corrective actions. Contribute to the definition and deployment of collective and individual prevention means (PPE, noise, vibrations, collective protections, etc.). Ensure the monitoring of emergency situations and associated exercises. Environmental management and regulatory compliance
Participate in the implementation and updating of the site's environmental analysis as well as the definition of environmental objectives. Ensure the monitoring of actions in the EHS management program and ensure the site's compliance with regulatory requirements and other applicable requirements. Perform regulatory monitoring regarding environment, safety, and occupational health. Monitor environmental analysis and measurement campaigns (air, water, noise, dust, etc.). Assist, when necessary, the Quarry Manager in their relations with administrations, control bodies, and external stakeholders. Steering, reporting, and continuous improvement
Ensure the monitoring and analysis of EHS indicators and produce the associated reports. Participate in the preparation and animation of EHS management reviews. Lead or co-lead projects to improve EHS performance. Be a source of proposals and an actor in the site's continuous improvement processes. Support to operations activities
Lead and deploy on the ground projects related to operations and/or EHS issues. Work in close collaboration with management teams on technical, regulatory, and operational subjects (procedures, operating modes, work organization, etc.). Participate in the development of the investment plan and the preparation of budgets related to their scope of activity. Is this position right for you? With an engineering degree or a specialized master's in HSE, or from an engineering school in geology or mining engineering.
As a recent graduate, a first professional experience in an industrial environment or a successful apprenticeship is a plus.
Knowledge of the imperatives in terms of legislation and regulation regarding health, safety, and environment.
Project management is a plus, as is the monitoring of indicators and action plans.
Mastery of English required
