Glass melting furnaces are at the heart of our plants' performance. Their design, construction, maintenance, and optimization have a direct impact on safety, production quality, energy consumption, and facility availability.
By joining the Fusion Technical Assistance team, you will bring your expertise to Isover sites internationally to support them in their glass furnace projects and in the continuous improvement of their processes.
Your role is simultaneously technical, operational, and human: you will intervene in the field, support local teams, and contribute to developing best practices within the Group.
What you will do on a daily basis
Support furnace construction and renovation projects Participate in the study, preparation, and organization phases of construction sites. Provide your technical expertise during the construction or renovation of installations. Supervise service providers and ensure compliance with technical requirements, deadlines, and safety rules. Coordinate the startup of installations and support their ramp-up. Improve glass furnace performance Conduct technical audits on operating installations. Analyze operating data and equipment wear. Identify improvement actions and monitor their implementation with the plants. Participate in optimization projects for fusion processes. Manage maintenance operations Define technical solutions with design offices and industrial teams. Coordinate maintenance projects and ensure their successful deployment on sites. Develop team skills Design training materials and modules. Train production and maintenance teams on best practices for furnace operation. Write procedures and operating methods. Transfer your expertise to strengthen the technical autonomy of the plants. Promote a demanding safety culture Enforce the Group's EHS standards across all interventions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety, health, and environmental practices.
Is this position right for you? We are looking for a profile with:
Higher education in thermal engineering, mechanics, materials, or an equivalent technical field Significant experience in an industrial environment. Experience in managing or supervising technical construction sites. Professional English allowing communication with international interlocutors. Ability to work autonomously in the field and make technical decisions. Pluses Experience in a continuous fire industry (glassmaking, metallurgy, cement, refractories, etc.). Knowledge of industrial thermal processes. Experience in the startup or renovation of major industrial equipment. Advanced mastery of Excel and technical data analysis tools.
