We are seeking a professional, organized, and friendly *Medical Office Assistant (MOA)* to join our busy medical clinic full time. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in a medical office, strong administrative and communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient care and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients while providing a welcoming and professional experience.
  • Schedule appointments and efficiently manage the physician's and clinic's appointment calendars.
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update patient information as required.
  • Assist with insurance verification, billing processes, and other administrative procedures.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and assist with appropriate follow-up.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing, faxing, scanning, and document management.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the reception and waiting areas.
  • Assist physicians and clinic staff with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain privacy in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Completion of a *Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program is required*.
  • *Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in a medical office is required*.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is preferred; experience with *Myle* is an asset.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and a good understanding of medical office procedures.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • A professional, reliable, and positive demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional patient service.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
