Warehouse Packer
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Packer to work in our cold storage facility, packing and handling for storage and dispatch. The candidate will be responsible for packing, palletising, and moving stock within a temperature-controlled warehouse, while maintaining quality, safety, and inventory accuracy.
This role is based in a cold storage warehouse maintained at approximately 6°C (43°F). Warm clothing suitable for cold conditions is required. The role involves standing and walking for extended periods and repetitive lifting.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect product for defects, damage, or quality issues before packing
- Label, seal, and stack packed cartons accurately
- Store and retrieve stock accurately
- Keep the cold storage area clean, organised, and free of hazards
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and cold-chain handling procedures at all times
- Monitor and report any equipment faults, temperature issues, or safety concerns
- Meet daily packing and dispatch targets while maintaining accuracy
- Comply with all warehouse safety protocols, including cold-environment procedures
Skills and Experience
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods
- Comfortable working in cold/chilled conditions (approx. 6°C) for full shifts
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Basic literacy and numeracy for labelling, scanning, and stock records
