Major duties
As a Supervisory Foreign-Trade Zones Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Develops policies, procedures, techniques, and strategies to implement and enforce the requirements of the Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) Act and the Board's regulations regarding applications submitted to the Board and ongoing activity in FTZs. Advises the Executive Secretary on critical program responsibilities related to Board proceedings, including applications submitted to the Board for new foreign-trade zones, subzones, expansions and reorganizations, and authority for companies to conduct production activity Provides authoritative counsel and advice to the Board delegates and other senior officials on all issues requiring higher-level decisions or input; serves on panels and groups addressing critical trade issues related to the FTZ program including trade agreement negotiating teams; represents the Board in meetings with senior management, other offices, other agencies, industry representatives and state and local officials. Provides the Board member delegates and other high-level officials with data, expertise, and insights, as well as position papers and analyses, to support high-level program and governmental goals and objectives. Plans the work assignments of subordinates, establishing priorities and ensuring the completion of work in a satisfactory and timely manner. Reviews work assignments of subordinates for accuracy and completeness, revising, editing or rejecting work as necessary and appropriate. Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the GS-15 level, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Interpreting and applying laws, regulations, policies, and precedents governing Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ) or other customs or international trade programs, including through program management, oversight, or subject matter expertise; Conducting research and analysis of economic, trade, regulatory, or programmatic issues to support determinations and recommendations; and Supervising, managing, or leading teams, programs, projects, or other organizational activities to achieve established objectives. Requirements
You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position. This position requires a secret-level security clearance. You must be able to obtain and maintain the clearance.
