You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Department of the Navy at Commander Navy Region Southeast of NAVSTA MAYPORT FL SEC DET.

Major duties

  • You will plan, establish, monitor, maintain, and manage a comprehensive force protection program and the security operations for the installation security department
  • You will administer policy direction and provides supervision to all security force personnel, systems, and operations
  • You will formulate long-range operating plans based on assigned missions, functions, regulatory guidance, facilities, equipment, funding, and staffing requirements necessary for mission accomplishment
  • You will identify the critical assets, personnel, real property, and facilities needing protection and recommend priorities.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying physical security, law enforcement, anti-terrorism and force protection security policies, principles and practices to review and resolve force protection problems; 2) Conducting surveys and performing analyses to identify the critical security needs and vulnerabilities of facilities; 3) Advising high level security officials on new developments/advances in security to improve the efficiency of agency wide security systems/programs; and 4) Evaluating site/facility engineering drawings to identify potential security deficiencies.
