Major duties

  • Lead IT project teams in the engineering, integration, and upgrading of unified communications and endpoint capabilities across the CNIC enterprise.
  • Implement and monitor rigorous cybersecurity controls, Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, and vulnerability assessments specific to telecommunications endpoint devices to protect against unauthorized access.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of voice, video, and data transmitted across endpoint devices by developing procedures for secure infrastructure reliability.
  • Manage the full lifecycle (procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning) of enterprise telecommunications endpoint hardware, software, and services to ensure continuous mission readiness and high availability.
  • Evaluate metrics and assess the total cost of ownership for the telecommunications endpoint portfolio to advise leadership on technology selection and procurement plan conformance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align telecommunications endpoint modernization strategies with broader organizational goals and architectural visions.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develop and formulate comprehensive acquisition strategies for the enterprise mobile device portfolio, ensuring procurement plans align with mission requirements, budget constraints, and organizational IT modernization goals, 2) Manage the process of making informed, mission-aligned investment decisions for the enterprise telecommunications portfolio by formulating financial analyses, tracking issue resolution, and developing Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) to oversee device deployment and project execution, 3) Develop, disseminate, and enforce enterprise-wide policies, standards, and governance specific to telecommunication endpoints and unified communications technologies, 4) Monitor and assess adherence to IT policies and standards to maintain a secure and efficient IT environment, and 5) Track and monitor the utilization of equipment and funds to optimize resource allocation.
