Purchasing and Import Manager

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in International Trade or a related field.
• Languages: Intermediate-advanced English, spoken and written (indispensable requirement).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in import processes and personnel management.
• Management of imports (customs logistics).
• Experience working with metrics, performance indicators, and report generation.
• Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations related to imports.
• ERP management (preferably Odoo, desirable).
• Experience in negotiation and supplier management: commercial credit conditions, delivery times, and special purchasing conditions.
• Train and coordinate training for their team regarding the technological supply tools incorporated by the company.
• Modality: On-site, with ease of commuting to Santa Cruz de las flores, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga.

Main responsibilities:

• Supervise the correct performance of their personnel in charge, ensuring that processes are executed according to internal policies.
• Coordinate the positioning and follow-up of purchase orders (PO’s) in the ERP.
• Ensure the update of shipment information in the system, including delivery dates, status, and general follow-up.
• Monitor and guarantee the timely departure of shipments from origin, avoiding additional costs.
• Coordinate with the warehouse area for the efficient reception of containers.
• Handle incidents and claims with suppliers, ensuring their resolution and the recovery of corresponding balances.
• Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPI’s) to evaluate the work team. Improve efficiency of processes through automation and developments within the ERP.
• Guarantee monthly closings in a timely and proper manner, as well as projections and payments to suppliers within the established dates.
