Network Maintenance Engineer (West)

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine operation, monitoring, and preventive maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless equipment, and network management systems.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure stable and reliable service delivery.
- Analyze network logs to identify abnormalities, diagnose issues, and perform root cause analysis.
- Respond to and resolve network incidents, service disruptions, and performance degradation in accordance with established SLAs.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute firmware upgrades, software patching, and security updates for network devices.
- Support change management activities, including impact assessment, implementation, validation, and rollback planning.
- Maintain network documentation, configuration records, maintenance reports, and incident logs.
- Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal support teams for technical troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Support and maintain AWS cloud networking infrastructure and connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities outside normal working hours when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in network operation, maintenance, and support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, VLAN, Firewall, VPN, Wireless Networks, and Network Security.
- Hands-on experience in network troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with network monitoring tools, log analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Experience in firmware upgrades, software patch management, and network change implementation in production environments.
- Preferred experience in AWS Cloud networking services, including VPC, Route Tables, Security Groups, Network ACLs, Transit Gateway, Site-to-Site VPN, Direct Connect, and hybrid cloud networking.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Work Location: West, to travel to site when required
