Cost Controller cum QS

Responsibilities

• Establish a cost analysis file for awardedprojects once approved and activated.
• Monitor project costing and provideup-to-date report information on the project status.
• Check all purchase requisitions submitted by ProjectEngineers/Manager against the Budget; highlight discrepancies and get approvalbefore POs issuance by Procurement.
• Assist Project Managers with procurement andsubcontracting issues
• Assist in checking progress claims, variationclaims, and subcontractor claims submitted by Project Managers
• Evaluate and certify progress claims submittedby subcontractors, and discuss with management before the release of paymentcertificates to subcontractors
• Lead monthly Project Sales Forecast meetings
• Maintain the Project Sales Forecast file andensure the input from the respective departments is in good order
• Participate in project/operations reviewswith Management whenever necessary
• Monitor both retention receivable and payableand follow up as and when due
• Liaison with all various departments toensure consistency in company policy and procedures.
• Participate and drive developments in ERPsystem implementation.
• Support management with reports and projectupdates
• Other administrative duties.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, ProjectManagement, Business, Engineering or related discipline
• Experiencein cost control and strong numerical and analytical skills
• Experiencein ERP applications
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel, Word, and project documentation where relevant
• Goodcommunication and coordination skills
• Ableto work under tight schedules and handle multiple dealines
