Our client in the Banking and Finance sector is looking for a Senior Tech Lead Java/JEE M/F

Your tasks

Mission Tech Leads will work on the modernization, migration to the Azure public cloud, and the operational maintenance of significant application portfolios. They will frame technical topics, define pragmatic software architectures adapted to standards and context, and support teams in their development practices.

The two scopes are as follows

• Accounting: migration and adaptation of the application portfolio to Azure (30%), redesign towards a modern architecture (30%), operational maintenance (20%), and production support (20%). Engagement to start as soon as possible.
• Taxation: complete redesign of applications based on requirements, as part of a strategic multi-year program planned for 2026-2030 (70%), migration to Azure (10%), operational maintenance and production support (20%). The target architecture includes REST microservices, message-oriented architecture, and Docker/Kubernetes. Engagement to start on December 1st, 2026.

Main responsibilities

• Promote craftsmanship practices within the teams.
• Frame technical topics and define pragmatic software architectures, compliant with architecture standards and adapted to the context.
• Lead CRAFT workshops and guarantee the quality of code reviews.
• Lead feedback sessions (RETEX) following the adoption of new digital capabilities within the development teams.
• Participate in application transformations, notably modernization, redesigns, and migrations to Azure.
• Contribute to the operational maintenance of applications and production support.
• Carry or lead transformation topics taking into account sizing, observability, performance, resilience, exploitability, and security.

Expected deliverables

• Framing of technical topics and software architectures adapted to needs and standards.
• Contributions to application redesigns and migrations to Azure.
• CRAFT workshops, code reviews, and feedback sessions.
• Contributions to operational maintenance and production support.

Requirements

Technical environment

• Development: Java 25, Java 8, Java/JEE, Angular 22, Spring Boot 4, Struts 1
• Architecture and API: REST microservices, REST API, SOAP web services, message-oriented architecture
• Cloud and infrastructure: Azure, IaaS, Docker, Kubernetes, virtual machines
• Data and messaging: PostgreSQL, Oracle, RabbitMQ
• CI/CD, versioning and automation: Jenkins, Git, Maven, Ansible, Terraform
• Observability: ELK
• Methodology: Scrum
