Transport & Logistics Manager - Freelance (M/F)

Daily Rate (TJM): Max TJM excl. VAT €454 (excluding potential mission expenses, to be discussed with the client)

As part of a temporary replacement, we are looking for a Transport & Logistics Manager to support an industrial company in managing and optimizing its transport and distribution activities.

Reporting to the Logistics / Supply Chain Direction, you will take charge of a transport scope with high economic and operational stakes, including the management of external service providers and the supervision of a team of 3 people.

Your main responsibilities:

Manage and optimize transport and distribution flows;

Manage and support a team of 3 people, based on a logic of autonomy;

*

Manage the performance of transport and logistics service providers;

*

Analyze transport costs and performance and identify cost-saving levers;

*

Optimize transport plans, loading plans, and truck fill rates;

*

Implement and monitor KPIs: costs, lead times, delivery frequency, service quality, etc.;

*

Improve transport cost per unit / kg and seek gain opportunities;

*

Manage transport disputes, breakage, penalties, and extra costs;

*

Prepare and lead performance reviews with service providers;

*

Monitor the transport budget and measure the ROI of optimization actions;

*

Utilize transport data to identify areas for improvement;

*

Contribute to continuous improvement and Supply Chain digitalization projects.

Profile sought: Above all, we are looking for a transport expert, capable of quickly taking charge of an operational scope and concretely identifying improvement levers. You have significant experience in transport, distribution, or logistics, ideally acquired in an industrial environment or at a logistics/transport service provider. You have solid experience in:

flow and transport plan optimization;

management of service providers;

*

analysis of KPIs and transport data;

*

cost control and seeking savings;

*

team management.

You are autonomous, pragmatic, analytical, and results-oriented. Professional English is essential. Proficiency in German would be a plus.
