Deputy Business Unit Manager - Freelance (M/F)

CONTEXT

Within the Finance Department, the Digital Finance Center of Excellence (CoE Digital Finance) drives the digital transformation of the Finance function for the France, Maghreb, and Africa perimeters. It ensures that tools, processes, and data effectively support the financial and operational performance of our client.

Its missions include defining and steering the Finance digital strategy, and then executing it through programs and initiatives from requirement gathering to deployment and change management. The CoE serves as the interface between Business teams, IT, and technical support centers.

Furthermore, the CoE ensures the management and continuous improvement of production solutions, ensuring their availability, reliability, and scalability. It also supports users through support, request and incident management, as well as training and skill-building actions.

MISSIONS

• Operationally lead the Business unit team: operationally supervise functional consultants on assigned topics, organize and prioritize activities, and distribute workload
• Ensure the operational maintenance of SAP CRM, SD, MM, HCM, and Reporting modules
• Ensure the strategic interface with Finance business correspondents: collect and challenge improvement and evolution requests, supervise the writing of functional specifications, and monitor requests via the ticketing tool (ServiceNow)
• Organize and supervise testing, business acceptance (UAT), and hypercare phases, and guarantee the formalization of lessons learned (REX)
• Contribute to the strategic projects of the Finance Department: electronic invoicing reform (RFE), integration of subsidiaries and new entities/countries, version upgrades, migration to the global CRM and, eventually, migration to S/4HANA
• Act as the guarantor of process documentation and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with other service units on any subject involving cross-functional dependencies

REQUIRED EXPERTISE

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in Management / Finance, minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in a Finance function including significant experience in project management and team management, ideally in an SAP environment
• Good knowledge of SD, MM, and possibly HCM modules; minimum 10 years of experience in SAP implementation or evolution projects within Finance departments
• Interest in management functional areas, proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Leadership, interpersonal skills, rigor, organizational and prioritization skills, proactive, curious, and persevering mindset
• Ability to manage several projects in parallel while supervising recurring activities and ensuring team engagement
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is indispensable
