Senior Web QA Automation Engineer - e-commerce - Freelance (M/F)

CONTEXT

We are looking for a senior QA automation engineer to strengthen our quality assurance framework on an e-commerce web front platform, with a strong focus on automating functional, regression, and end-to-end tests. The mission consists of designing, developing, maintaining, and executing robust automated tests, while contributing to the functional quality of user journeys in close collaboration with product, QA, and development teams.

MISSIONS

• Analysis of user stories and functional specifications.
• Design, development, and maintenance of automated tests on critical journeys.
• Writing test scenarios in Gherkin and associated automation where relevant.
• Execution, analysis, and stabilization of automated test campaigns on desktop and mobile web interfaces.
• Detection, qualification, and tracking of anomalies via Jira / Xray, including analysis of automation failures.
• Integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contribution to build reliability.
• Participation in agile ceremonies (daily, sprint review, retrospective).
• Contribution to the automation strategy, continuous improvement of the test framework, and QA best practices.

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT

• E-commerce web front (Vue / Nuxt)
• Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript
• Jira / Xray
• BrowserStack
• Cross-device testing tools and CI/CD integration

TELEWORKING

• 4 to 5 mandatory days of on-site presence per month in Île-de-France (non-negotiable)

1. 5+ years of experience in web QA, including significant experience in test automation and at least 2 years on e-commerce projects
2. Very good understanding of front journeys (navigation, cart, checkout tunnel, responsive)
3. Mastery of Playwright mandatory
4. Good mastery of AI applied to QA, notably AI agents for automation and test optimization
5. Mastery of Jira + Xray for management, tracking, and reporting of test campaigns
6. Solid mastery of automation best practices: maintainability, refactoring, data set management, test stability, and flaky test analysis
7. Comfort in an agile and collaborative environment
8. Professional English (reading/writing specs)
9. An awareness of exploratory manual testing is still expected to complement the automated approach
10. Geek at heart: loves understanding the product and staying up to date with tech trends
11. Proactive in proposing QA practices, tools, or team processes
12. Ability to challenge their team and team lead with benevolence
13. Autonomy in managing tests and priorities
