About the company

NousAvel Technologies is a French engineering and technology consulting company, specializing in embedded systems and software development.

Our client is an international player in the semiconductor sector, developing advanced embedded technologies for applications requiring high security and reliability.

Your tasks

Mission Context As part of a team specialized in embedded systems security, you will work on the development of secure firmware and ROM operating as close to the hardware as possible. The mission combines bare-metal C development, ARM and RISC-V architectures, secure boot mechanisms, secure key management, and the integration of classical and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms. You will work in an international environment under Linux, with automation and continuous integration activities.

The Mission

  • Design, develop, and test secure firmware and ROM modules in bare-metal C;
  • Develop and optimize secure boot mechanisms;
  • Implement and integrate cryptographic algorithms such as AES, RSA, and ECDSA;
  • Integrate post-quantum cryptography mechanisms, notably ML-DSA;
  • Develop functionalities related to digital certificates, key lifecycle, and Root of Trust;
  • Develop on ARM and RISC-V architectures;
  • Develop Python scripts to automate development and testing activities;
  • Use GCC toolchains and continuous integration environments under Linux.

Requirements

Required Skills

  • Solid experience in low-level embedded software development in bare-metal C;
  • Good mastery of ARM and/or RISC-V architectures;
  • Strong knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography: AES, RSA, ECDSA;
  • Good understanding of digital certificates and secure key management;
  • Experience with secure boot mechanisms and embedded security;
  • Mastery of Linux, Git, GCC toolchains, and Python scripting;
  • Experience with CI/CD environments;
  • Professional English allowing for evolution in an international environment.

Would be an asset

  • Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and ML-DSA;
  • Experience with hardware security subsystems, HSM, or secure enclaves;
  • Experience in hardware/software co-design and low-level debugging;
  • Knowledge of side-channel attack issues and secure software development practices.

Initial Training Master's degree or Engineering School in computer science, embedded software, electronics, cybersecurity, or an equivalent field.
