Lead Developer Java / Fullstack - Data Governance Platform (M/F) - Freelance

About the company

Within a large international group, a product team dedicated to data governance designs and develops a data catalog portal. The environment is hybrid: custom developments coexist with a market SaaS solution (Collibra). The platform centralizes enterprise semantics (business glossary, controlled vocabulary) and the data products catalog. It also exposes data lineage and relies on an enterprise knowledge graph. Metadata can be consulted via classic faceted search and through agentic interfaces (AI).

Your tasks

1. Design and develop the front-end of the new portal in Vue.js, and integrate it with back-end services (Java / Spring Boot).
2. Contribute to back-end services and event streams (Kafka, Kafka Streams, PostgreSQL) that consolidate metadata and lineage.
3. Integrate AI and agentic functionalities to interact with the catalog, glossary, and knowledge graph.
4. Participate in defining the standards of a product-oriented and semantic platform: interoperability, coherent architecture, robustness, scalability.
5. Play a role as a technical referent within the team: best practices, code reviews, monitoring, and evaluation of innovations.

Requirements

1. Expertise in Java / Spring Boot (imperative) and mastery of Vue.js on the front-end side.
2. Proven experience in AI topics (LLM, agents, RAG), with a genuine interest in these technologies.
3. Good understanding of data management and data catalog concepts (glossary, metadata, lineage, federated governance). Collibra experience is a plus.
4. Lead developer posture: proactive, autonomous, rigorous, and able to bridge the gap with business stakeholders.
5. Professional English (imperative), in an international and collaborative environment.
