We are looking for a Network, System and Security Engineer for one of our clients in the Rennes area to ensure the operation of Network, Telecoms and Security infrastructures.

The engineer will mainly participate in projects to evolve network and telecom services: lead projects for the implementation of network, security and telecom infrastructure services; design detailed technical architectures and guarantee their deployment and production; conduct sizing and "capacity planning" work; verify compliance with standards. This scope of activity is estimated at 80% of the time.

They will also ensure the operational functioning of network, security and telecom services: monitor and manage the service level, contribute to N3 operations support and incident resolution; contribute to the monitoring and resolution of security incidents; conduct audit actions; inform and train operations teams on the use of new services and associated tools. This scope of activity is estimated at 20% of the time.

They will contribute to the implementation of and compliance with the Group's security policy requirements regarding network and telecom services and communicate and alert the Group CISO.

BUILD Scope:

  • Ensure the installation, production deployment and administration of equipment,
  • Propose technical infrastructure evolutions,
  • Improve supervision infrastructures,
  • Automate configuration and monitoring operations,
  • Participate in the realization of business / technical projects

RUN Scope:

  • N3 Support on the perimeters covered by the network team,
  • Ensure Maintenance in Operational Condition (MCO),
  • Application of security patches,
  • Minor and major software updates

Position requires:

  • Interpersonal skills with System Operations, Architecture, Security teams and other departments
  • Communication (teamwork)
  • Analytical mindset (autonomy and ability to propose solutions)
  • Ability to work in English (written and oral) - daily interactions with personnel working abroad.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

With a BAC+4/5 education, master's/engineering school in network/system/telecom/security, the candidate has significant and successful experience of at least 3 years in a similar position and in managing large-scale technical projects. Their personal qualities (rigor and organization, autonomy, listening and communication skills, open-mindedness and intellectual curiosity, sense of service, analytical and synthesis skills) will allow them to succeed in this mission.

The candidate must mandatory master the following technical components:

  • Knowledge of network and telecommunication protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, DNS, SSH, FTP, DHCP, HTTP(S), NTP, SNMP)
  • SDWAN (Fortinet or comparable)

  • Switching (VLAN, 802.1x) - (among Cisco, HP or comparable)
