Aeronautics Development Quality Engineer - Freelance (M/F)

CONTEXT

Our client is an international high-tech industrial group, operating notably in the aeronautics and defense sectors.

The entity concerned specializes in the design, development, and industrialization of high-criticality embedded electronic systems, intended for civil and military aeronautical applications.

Recognized for its technical expertise and the reliability of its solutions, it operates in a demanding environment, subject to strong quality, certification, and safety constraints, while maintaining an agile organization and an operation similar to that of an SME.

MISSIONS

• Define, maintain, and improve development processes, particularly software
• Ensure the implementation of independent Quality Assurance on avionics projects
• Set up and maintain business frameworks (current criticality level DAL C)
• Contribute to the development of development and certification plans
• Verify the compliance of deliverables and adherence to processes
• Ensure Software, Hardware, and System business milestone reviews (SOI)
• Plan and perform audits in accordance with requirements, and follow up on corrective actions
• Ensure the interface with business Team Leaders (software, hardware, system)
• Act as the quality interlocutor internally, for clients, and for partners on DO-178, DO-254, and ARP4754 topics
• Provide methodological support on certification deliverables

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Engineering degree in electronics or equivalent (Master's degree)
• Significant technical experience in a certified avionics environment and embedded software
• Mastery of Software Quality Assurance (DO-178)
• Experience in Hardware Quality Assurance (DO-254)
• Desired knowledge in System Quality Assurance (ARP-4754)
• Knowledge of configuration management and requirements traceability tools
• Proficiency in Problem Reports tools + office software
• Taste for project-based and teamwork
• Written and oral communication skills
• Fluent English (B2 minimum)
• Strong interpersonal skills
