Windows Production Engineer - DevOps - Freelance (M/F)

CONTEXT

The client is seeking support services for production engineering, the implementation of new tools, and new functionalities. The service is carried out within an Agile/DevOps framework, on primarily Windows environments. The mission takes place within the production teams in a technical environment mainly centered around Windows technologies.

MISSIONS

Production Engineering:

• Guaranteeing production service quality, availability, and integrity of IT resources, in compliance with the service contract
• Organizing the resolution of major and/or cross-functional incidents via crisis cells, ensuring the mobilization of stakeholders, escalations, and communications
• Monitoring problem management (notably following major and recurring incidents), from root cause analysis to the implementation of fixes
• Contributing to the improvement of the service provided
• Contributing to the improvement (and steering) of planned operations (project and run)
• Reducing incident volumes across the estate
• Weekly analysis of major incidents
• Steering IT risks, obsolescence management, and capacity planning (organic volume growth)
• Performing technical operations related to the implementation of projects/evolutions and/or incidents by applying current rules and standards
• Identifying blocking points (flows, security, network, etc.) for warnings and proposing action plans
• Contributing to the provision of production and infrastructure resources (production and non-production: environments, toolchains, quality gates)
• Implementation/monitoring/recommendation of infrastructure requirements
• N2 - N3 Support in case of blocking or major incidents (or even crisis management) within the assigned scope, and understanding the architecture

Design and implementation of production architectures for new projects:

• Implementation of configuration and automation tools to simplify deployment and update processes across the entire platform
• Capacity management of production environments and anticipation of evolutions
• Infrastructure upgrades and impact measurement
• Implementation of DevOps best practices and continuous integration
• Implementation of infrastructures in compliance with vendor documentation
• Task automation scripts

Continuous improvement of the ecosystem:

• Integration of new solutions
• Implementation of advanced scripts (Powershell, Ansible, .)
• Contributing to the improvement of operations (industrialization, automation, standardization, etc.) with the aim of limiting the number of incidents

Documentation (French / English):

• Systematic capitalization of implemented solutions (with regular review)
• Popularization documents intended for more junior employees

The position requires availability for occasional operations during non-business hours (HNO) and on-call duties (currently being implemented).

TOOLS & ENVIRONMENT

• Primarily Windows environments
• Microsoft MCSE Certification (infra under Windows)
• More than 10 years of production experience in a sensitive environment in a Windows Server environment
• Mastery of Ansible scripting (DevOps) to automate tasks
• Experience in full application integration (architecture, telecom, security study, documentation, implementation, ...)
• Fluent English mandatory
• Components to master: MS SQL Server (database, AAG cluster), Powershell, GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory
• Appreciated knowledge: Blue Prism, UiPath, ServiceNow, ELK, Dynatrace
