Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer - Freelance (M/F)

MISSION PRESENTATION

Join a Blockchain Platform as a Service team to deploy, manage, and support blockchain nodes for our client. An excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge blockchain technologies and build services within critical infrastructures.

Important precision: this position is infrastructure-oriented - no smart contract development is required.

MAIN MISSIONS

• Deploy, configure, and maintain public blockchain nodes (Ethereum, Solana) and private nodes (Ethereum, Canton) in segmented and highly restricted environments
• Design "infrastructure as code" pipelines to automate the complete node lifecycle, from instantiation to patching
• Design internal monitoring and node state management tools (Python or Golang)
• Analyze and optimize system performance (disk I/O, network latency, memory management) to guarantee network synchronization and stability
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Participate in on-call rotations

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Deep understanding of consensus mechanisms (PoS), blockchain data structures, and specific node requirements (e.g., massive IOPS needs for Solana/Ethereum)
• Experience in Linux administration
• Programming experience, preferably Python or Golang
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm for complex service orchestration

TRANSVERSAL SKILLS

• Strong motivation and interest in the blockchain ecosystem
• Appetite for rapid learning of new technologies
• Ability to translate complex blockchain concepts into infrastructure challenges for stakeholders
• Fluent technical English is imperative (international team, English = default language for all meetings) - French is desired but optional
• Adaptability to client needs and requirements

VALUED EXPERIENCE (ASSETS, NOT BLOCKING)

• Concrete deployment of nodes (Hyperledger Besu, Canton/DAML, Corda, Fabric, Solana...)
• Administration of a permissioned blockchain network
• Monitoring and logging tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus...)

SEARCHED PROFILE - MINDSET

We are looking for a production-oriented profile: the person must be able to describe a relevant incident they have already encountered (ideally a broken production environment - it happens to everyone), revealing true ownership of their subjects.
