The Data InStore team is looking for a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer based in Nantes, Paris, or Lille.

The Data team, within the InStore domain, is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of innovative analytical and Artificial Intelligence solutions around store challenges, from traffic forecasting to the development of intelligent solutions for teammates based on agents or GenAI, or even performance analysis solutions. The team is multidisciplinary, composed of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers, and ML Engineers working in an agile manner and in close proximity to Product, Engineering stakeholders, as well as business users.

MISSIONS

  • Contribute to the development and operational maintenance of machine learning solutions (batch forecasting pipelines, classification engines, etc.).
  • Evaluate and improve existing forecasting models and methodologies to optimize their accuracy and efficiency.
  • Apply development and data governance standards to the developed solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, notably the business, Engineering, and Product stakeholders of the InStore domain, to align Data and AI initiatives with business objectives.
  • Communicate analyses and propose recommendations to stakeholders via clear and concise visualizations and presentations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and supply chain management.

  1. More than 5 years of experience in data science, with mastery of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, particularly in time series analysis and forecasting
  2. Good generalist knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals and production management experience
  3. Understanding of retail concepts and the ability to transform business needs into well-defined problems and actionable recommendations
  4. Confirmed+ level in Python and SQL, as well as in data processing frameworks (Spark, dbt)
  5. Comfortable with cloud environments: GCP, AWS, Databricks
  6. Mastery of orchestration tools (Airflow, Astronomer) and CI/CD concepts (github actions)
  7. Great capacity for analysis and data structuring to derive relevant insights
  8. Collaborative spirit within multidisciplinary teams (business, data, product, governance)
  9. Proactivity and curiosity to explore new solutions and continuously improve analysis methods
  10. Mastery of English
  11. Experience with language models (LLM), agent systems, and GenAI approaches is a plus
