Liferay Digital Portal IT Project Manager - Freelance (M/F)
Daily Rate (TJM): 600
CONTEXT
Within a Web & Portal Studio team, we are looking for an IT Project Manager for the maintenance and evolution of a digital portal intended for professional clients, deployed in several European subsidiaries, notably in France, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Belgium. This is a temporary replacement mission combining project management and operational responsibility of the platform in Build & Run. The platform is based on Liferay.
Location: La Défense. Start date: October. Duration: 6 months minimum. Context: international - France, United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium. Language: fluent English is essential.
MISSIONS
Project Management - approximately 50%
- Manage the project according to its costs, risks, deadlines, and dependencies;
- Monitor the progress of various workstreams and ensure their proper execution;
- Coordinate technical teams, business teams, and the various partners involved;
- Directly manage a PPO (Proxy Product Owner), several developers, an UX Designer, as well as a TMA;
- Identify and anticipate risks and bottlenecks, then implement the associated action plans;
- Produce project reporting and ensure appropriate communication with top management;
- Champion and represent the project to the various stakeholders;
- Maintain a high-level view of the project while understanding technical issues sufficiently to challenge the teams.
Platform Maintenance, Build & Run - approximately 50%
- Manage the corrective and evolutionary maintenance activities of the portal;
- Supervise Build and Run activities;
- Coordinate the interventions of the TMA and development teams;
- Monitor and manage incident resolution;
- Understand and qualify technical issues to facilitate their resolution;
- Organize communication with stakeholders in the event of an incident;
- Participate in crisis management when the criticality of the situation requires it;
- Guarantee the continuity and quality of service of the platform.
REQUIRED PROFILE
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager, capable of operating at the interface between business teams, technical teams, service providers, and management.
The profile must have:
- Significant experience in managing IT / digital projects;
- Experience in managing applications or platforms in a Build & Run environment;
- A good understanding of technical issues related to web applications and portals;
- Experience in incident management, ideally on applications exposed to clients;
- The ability to manage a TMA and development teams;
- Mastery of management by costs, risks, deadlines, and dependencies;
- The ability to communicate with high-level interlocutors and ensure reporting to management;
- The ability to work in an international and multicultural environment;
- Fluent English, indispensable for interacting with the various European subsidiaries.
Strongly differentiating skill: Experience with Liferay, ideally in the context of managing or evolving a client portal, will be a major asset. The candidate is not expected to develop on Liferay themselves, but must be comfortable enough with the technical environment to understand the issues encountered, challenge the teams, and effectively manage incidents and evolutions.
