Mainframe Technical Architect - Freelance (M/F)

CONTEXTAs part of the modernization of an information system, we are looking for a senior Technical Architect / Integration specialist to support the transition from a Mainframe environment to Java / Cloud architectures.

MISSIONS

• Contribute to the design and evolution of the IT architecture, in connection with the business and technical teams
• Lead the integration between the existing Mainframe environment and the target applications (Java / Cloud)
• Analyze the existing setup and identify points of attention related to batch processing and data access
• Define and support migration or cohabitation trajectories between environments
• Provide your expertise and recommendations to the project teams, and guarantee the consistency of technical choices

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Mission location: Toulouse
• 2 days of remote work per week
• Start date: ASAP
• Professional English mandatory
• Required seniority: 8 to 10 years minimum of experience

1. Minimum 8 years of experience in technical architecture and/or integration (senior profile)
2. Good understanding of the Mainframe environment and its key concepts (COBOL, DB2, batch processing), without the need to be a highly specialized expert
3. Knowledge of Java and Cloud environments, or a strong interest in these subjects
4. Ability to grasp general concepts rather than exclusive mastery of a single technology
5. Strong interpersonal skills, pedagogical approach, and ability to work with various stakeholders
