FORKLIFT OPERATOR

1. Prepares racking system to accept incoming deliveries e.g. ensures proper and efficient arrangement of goods received.
2. Receives incoming goods from anteroom to racking using forklift.
3. Records location of goods in bin location form. Forwards the forms to the Checker for recording in Receiving Report form.
4. Performs maintenance of forklifts on a daily basis. Records cause of breakdown in logbook and refers to Warehouse Supervisor of needed repairs.
5. Reviews logbook of Checker for goods due for dispatch for the day.
6. Pulls out the orders prepared by Picker, from shelves using bin location forms and forklift.
7. Transports goods for delivery from cold storage to the anteroom.
8. Keeps the warehouse and its environments clean to ensure safety. Arranges empty pallets and stores in the anteroom.
9. Monitoring of actual no. of pallets used per customer, records this in a logbook. Forwards logbook to Warehouse Supervisor for billing purposes.
10. Wear’s safety gears needed in the warehouse.
11. Acts as a responsible representative of the Company to its Clients and Customers
12. Ensures that your duties and responsibilities as Forklift Operator’s are met.
13. Performs other duties and responsibilities inherent in the position as Forklift Operator and all other tasks which may be assigned from time to time by his immediate superior.

Qualifications/Requirements: High School Graduate With NC II in Forklift Operation
