Do you want to participate in the development of an innovative technology that has a concrete impact on medical practice? Join an agile structure where your ideas can quickly become reality. At Dental Hologram, we develop a next-generation surgical navigation system intended for professionals in the dental sector. Our ambition: to improve the precision of interventions thanks to a particularly innovative localization system. Created in 2024, Dental Hologram is a young medtech company of about 8 employees, currently in the phase of transforming its prototypes and demonstrators into a real product. As part of this scale-up, we are looking for an experienced C++ Software Development Engineer to strengthen the software team and contribute to its structuring, then evolve towards a Lead Software role.

Your mission Within a multidisciplinary team (software, system, mechanics, quality/regulatory, and industrialization), you will participate in all stages of the software development cycle, from design to the validation of solutions deployed in our medical devices. The position combines a highly operational C++ development role with a progressive dimension of structuring and technical leadership. The objective is to strengthen a team of two developers and to support the transition from a prototype logic to a product development logic.

Your main responsibilities Design and develop innovative software solutions: Analyze user needs and system requirements.

Design the software architecture of applications and subsystems.

Develop robust, high-performance, and maintainable software.

Participate in design reviews and code reviews.

Ensure traceability between requirements, design, development, and testing.

Development is primarily carried out in high-level application C++, with also Python for certain R&D tools and test benches.

Develop advanced algorithms: Design and implement calculation, navigation, and data processing algorithms.

Participate in the development of features related to 3D geometry and medical image processing.

Optimize real-time processing performance.

It is not necessary to master all of these fields. We are primarily looking for someone capable of bringing strong expertise to the team: algorithms, navigation, UI/UX, architecture, integration, requirements management, or software activity structuring.

Guarantee the quality and security of developments: Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests.

Participate in software verification and validation activities.

Contribute to software risk analyses and cybersecurity activities.

Participate in the continuous improvement of development methods and tools.

Your profile Engineering degree or equivalent Master's level training. We are primarily looking for a profile with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with solid practice of C++ and ideally experience in product development. You are capable of becoming operational quickly and wish to evolve towards a Lead Software role. Previous management experience is not essential: however, an appetite for leadership, sharing skills, and structuring activities are important. You are comfortable in technical English, both written and spoken.

Technical skills You master all or part of the following technologies and domains: Mastery of C++ is essential; Python is appreciated for certain R&D tools and test benches.

Software architecture and design.

Quality-oriented development and coding best practices.

Git, software configuration management, and CI/CD environments.

Development of complex algorithms.

3D geometry, scientific computing, or data processing.

Software testing: unit, integration, and system.

Environment: Windows/Linux, Qt, Visual Studio, CMake, Git, CI/CD. Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485 standards and product cybersecurity would be a plus. Experience in medical devices is appreciated but not essential if you have a solid culture of product development in a demanding or regulated technical environment, and bring differentiating expertise in algorithms, navigation, UI/UX, architecture, or integration. We are also looking for a pragmatic, versatile, and adaptable person, with a true startup spirit and the desire to contribute to building the team.
