We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Lead to strengthen our design organization in the Turku region. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical leadership of the customer's electrical systems design, coordination of the design team, and ensuring the quality, schedule, and cost-effectiveness of projects.

You will work in close cooperation with project management, customers, procurement, and experts from other design disciplines. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the success of significant investment and marine industry projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.

In your role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and coordinating the design of electrical systems
• Managing design quality, schedule, and budget
• Preparing technical specifications and design documents
• Supporting project cost calculation regarding electrical systems
• Preparing and monitoring design schedules
• Providing technical support for procurement and preparing tender documentation
• Collaborating with customers, contractors, equipment suppliers, and authorities
• Leading technical meetings and acting as an expert
• Quality assurance, inspections, and continuous improvement
• Technical support during the project implementation and warranty phases.

We expect from you:

• A suitable university degree in electrical engineering
• Several years of experience in electrical systems design in demanding marine industry projects
• Strong expertise in electrical systems design and the development of technical solutions
• Experience in applying international standards, regulations, and authority requirements
• Experience in design coordination and working with various stakeholders
• AutoCAD skills and good Microsoft Office skills
• Fluent English language skills
• Readiness to act as a technical person in charge and in the customer interface.
