About the Role

The Project Manager will support corporate service functions and be assigned to one of two key workstreams:

  • Supporting a strategic Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) programme covering grants, finance, HR administration, accreditation, programme administration, and customer engagement services.
  • Managing the migration of records from an existing Documents & Records System to a Whole-of-Government Records Management Product while overseeing business-as-usual project activities.

Core Responsibilities

Programme & Project Delivery

  • Plan, manage and monitor project activities, timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of milestones across assigned workstreams.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams and relevant stakeholders to align requirements, resolve issues and achieve project objectives.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, assess and escalate risks and issues.
  • Implement mitigation measures to maintain project progress.

Governance & Reporting

  • Produce and present project status reports, updates and supporting documentation for management and stakeholder review.

Change Control

  • Manage change requests.
  • Assess impact to scope, cost and timelines.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approvals are maintained.

Quality Management

  • Review project deliverables against acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure outputs support programme objectives and quality expectations.

Operational Project Support

  • Oversee ongoing business-as-usual project activities.
  • Maintain operational continuity while supporting records migration initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant project management experience in complex programmes involving multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Competencies

  • Familiarity with government ICT governance and procurement frameworks, including public sector statutory requirements.
  • Familiarity with government records management practices or Whole-of-Government digital platforms.
  • Experience with BPO programme management systems and outsourcing operations.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for productivity improvement and task automation, including responsible AI principles relating to privacy, fairness and transparency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (e.g. Power BI), SharePoint Online, or workflow management tools such as JIRA / JIRA Service Management.
  • Ability to derive insights from data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and iterative project delivery.
  • Product-oriented mindset with focus on user outcomes, end-to-end ownership and alignment of project work to business objectives.
