Consistency Verification Lead

Role Overview  The Consistency Verification Lead is responsible for designing and implementing mechanisms to capture existing system behaviour and verify that replacement, upgraded, or modernized components exhibit equivalent behaviour or approved functional changes. The role ensures delivery confidence through repeatable verification processes, automated testing frameworks, and evidence-based validation methodologies.  Key Responsibilities  Lead the design and implementation of consistency and behavioural verification strategies for system modernization, migration, replacement, and upgrade initiatives. 

Define approaches to capture current-state application behaviour and establish verification baselines for future-state systems. 

Develop and maintain automated verification frameworks, test harnesses, and validation mechanisms to ensure behavioural equivalence between legacy and target systems. 

Establish end-to-end verification processes covering functional, behavioural, integration, and regression testing. 

Design and implement automated testing and code-quality practices integrated with CI/CD pipelines. 

Define coverage models, acceptance criteria, verification metrics, and success measures for modernization projects. 

Analyze system behaviour, business rules, workflows, and interfaces to identify verification requirements and potential risks. 

Manage intended behavioural changes by maintaining approved baselines and validating modifications against business requirements. 

Produce verification evidence, coverage reports, findings, risk assessments, and limitation analyses for project stakeholders and clients. 

Collaborate closely with architects, developers, business analysts, quality engineers, and project stakeholders to validate target-state solutions. 

Lead technical reviews of verification approaches, automation frameworks, and testing strategies. 

Mentor and provide technical leadership to quality engineering and test automation teams. 

Drive continuous improvement of testing, automation, and verification practices across projects. 

Support governance, audit, compliance, and quality assurance activities by maintaining traceable verification records and evidence repositories. 

Required Skills & Experience  Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in software verification, quality engineering, test automation, system modernization, software analysis, or related disciplines.  

Proven experience in consistency or behavioural verification for system migration, modernization, replacement, or transformation programs. 

Strong experience in test automation framework design, development, and execution. 

Experience establishing automated verification mechanisms and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines. 

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, verification techniques, and quality engineering practices. 

Experience in system analysis, software behaviour capture, and equivalence validation. 

Knowledge of regression testing, integration testing, specification-driven development, and code quality practices. 

Experience producing verification evidence and reporting coverage, risks, assumptions, and limitations to stakeholders. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 

Excellent stakeholder communication and technical documentation skills. 

Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams or quality engineering functions. 

Preferred Qualifications  Experience leading large-scale modernization, migration, or legacy replacement programs. 

Experience developing custom verification, simulation, comparison, or behavioral testing tools. 

Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise applications. 

Experience in regulated, government, financial services, transportation, or critical infrastructure environments. 

Experience serving as Technical Lead or Lead Quality Engineer on end-to-end project deliveries.

ISTQB Advanced Level Test Management (CTAL-TM)
