About the role
We are an IT consulting firm delivering software engineering, cloud, and digital transformation services to clients across [industries/regions]. Our consultants are our product, which makes hiring, developing, and retaining talent central to the business.
The HR Trainee will work alongside the HR team to support the full employee lifecycle, with an early focus on recruitment and onboarding. This is a learning role: you will be given structured exposure across HR functions, mentorship from senior team members, and increasing ownership of tasks as you grow.
Key responsibilities
Recruitment & onboarding
Post job openings, screen CVs, and schedule interviews for technical and non-technical roles Coordinate candidate communication and maintain the applicant tracking system Prepare offer documentation and support background/reference checks Run onboarding logistics: contracts, IT equipment requests, induction scheduling, first-week check-ins
HR operations
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data Assist with payroll input, leave tracking, and benefits administration Draft routine HR correspondence (confirmation letters, certificates of service, internal memos) Support compliance with labour law requirements and internal policy documentation
Learning & development
Coordinate training sessions, certification schedules, and tracking of consultant skills matrices Help gather feedback after training and summarise results
Engagement & reporting
Support performance review cycles administratively Assist with employee engagement initiatives and internal communications Prepare basic HR reports and dashboards (headcount, attrition, time-to-hire, utilisation of training budget)
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged) 0–1 years' experience; internships or campus HR involvement are an advantage Strong written and verbal communication skills Solid Microsoft Office / Google Workspace skills, particularly Excel or Sheets High attention to detail and comfort handling confidential information with discretion Organised, proactive, and able to manage several small tasks at once
