Project Engineer

1. On-site Project Delivery (Data Center / Client Site):

• Manage and execute data center or on-site projects such as equipment racking, structured cabling, and system installation.
• Lead and coordinate the on-site technical team by assigning tasks and monitoring work progress, quality, and efficiency.
• Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Allocate and manage manpower, including internal staff and outsourced engineers. Organize scalable deployment teams of 15+ people when needed.
• Supervise third-party staff in terms of behavior, performance, and quality standards.
• Track project milestones, prepare documentation, and regularly update clients.

1. On-site Enablement and Safety Compliance:

• Conduct onboarding and provide training on workflows, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
• Enforce safety rules and identify and resolve on-site risks.
• Promote standardized practices to ensure orderly and compliant operations.

1. Technical Support & Collaboration:

• Respond to client requests and assist with server hardware issues (e.g., power, memory, hard drives, cabling).
• Provide support for system deployment, testing, and acceptance.
• Document common issues and resolutions, and contribute to process and knowledge base improvement.
• Collaborate with internal engineers to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Provide technical support related to network switches, including physical connection, basic configuration coordination, and troubleshooting of port/cabling issues.

1. Communication & Cross-Team Coordination:

• Maintain regular communication with clients, gather feedback, and continuously improve service quality.
• Manage expectations and address basic customer complaints.
• Work closely with project management, operations, and procurement teams to close tasks efficiently.

Qualifications: Good English reading and writing skills; able to understand technical documents and conduct basic communication. Applicants must have their own laptop. Ability to travel when needed Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of experience in on-site technical support or project management; exposure to data center or IT equipment deployment is preferred. Basic understanding of IT hardware, including servers and networking equipment, with a solid background in network switches. Experience coordinating multi-party resources and leading on-site delivery. Proven ability to manage external/outsourced personnel; experience handling a team of 5+ on-site is preferred. Strong sense of responsibility, customer service mindset, and the ability to adapt on-site; willingness to travel when required.
