Role: HGV Class 2 Driver - RoRo Location: Lewes, East Sussex Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm Pay: £15.75 - £17.65 per hour Temp-to-perm
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver - RoRo to join one of our longstanding clients, a busy and established operation based in Lewes.
This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering consistent Monday-to-Friday hours, an immediate start and overtime availability. You will operate a Roll-On/Roll-Off vehicle with a hydraulic hook-loader system, collecting and delivering large containers between customer sites, transfer stations and recycling facilities.

The Requirements: Valid UK HGV Class 2 Category C licence Valid Driver CPC qualification/card Valid Digital Tachograph card Previous RoRo, hook-loader or skip vehicle experience is highly desirable Relevant HGV Class 2 driving experience will also be considered Good understanding of UK driving regulations Knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations Reliable, punctual and professional approach Good communication and customer service skills Strong commitment to health and safety
The Role: Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally Collect, transport and deliver RoRo containers Operate the vehicle's hydraulic hook-loader system to load and unload containers Ensure containers are correctly positioned and secured for transportation Sheet containers where required Complete daily vehicle safety and defect checks Report vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly Complete relevant collection and delivery paperwork Maintain compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Regulations and road safety legislation Provide a professional and courteous service to customers and site personnel Follow all relevant health and safety procedures
