An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Paralegal to join a successful and close-knit Property Department in Chichester. The department covers both Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Property, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work alongside experienced Fee Earners within a supportive, professional and client-focused environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and proactive Paralegal who enjoys working as part of a team while taking ownership of their responsibilities and delivering a high standard of client service.

The Role As a Property Paralegal, you will provide effective support to Fee Earners across the Property Department, with a particular focus on Residential Property.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day paralegal and administrative support to Fee Earners
  • Assisting with residential property transactions and progressing matters efficiently
  • Communicating professionally with clients, solicitors, estate agents and other third parties
  • Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
  • Maintaining accurate and well-organised electronic files
  • Assisting with file management and ensuring matters remain compliant with internal procedures
  • Supporting the department with general administrative and secretarial duties
  • Working effectively within a paper-lite/paperless environment
  • Ensuring a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and client care at all times

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working as a Paralegal within a Residential Property/Conveyancing Department
  • Previous experience working within a solicitors' office
  • Strong administrative, organisational and IT skills
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • The ability to communicate confidently with clients and professional third parties
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
  • A good understanding of file compliance and professional standards
  • Experience working with electronic case management systems and in a paperless environment
