Employment Solicitor
My client is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor (Associate) to join their growing employment team based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This is a hybrid opportunity offering a mix of office and home working following completion of probation. The successful candidate will work closely with a partner, managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, while also supporting the corporate and commercial team on employment-related issues. Key Responsibilities
- Manage executive exit and settlement agreement matters.
- Handle claimant employment tribunal litigation from instruction through to conclusion.
- Advise clients on a range of employment law matters.
- Assist the Corporate and Commercial team with employment aspects of corporate transactions.
- Prepare legal documentation, correspondence and tribunal paperwork.
- Manage deadlines and ensure compliance with tribunal procedures.
- Deliver excellent client care and maintain strong client relationships.
- Explain complex legal issues clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with approximately 5+ years' PQE in Employment Law.
- Strong knowledge of the Employment Tribunal process.
- Experience handling claimant employment litigation.
- Respondent employment litigation experience would be advantageous.
- Experience advising employers on non-contentious employment matters is desirable.
- Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service.
