An established and growing professional services firm is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join its Corporate Services team. You will manage a portfolio of corporate clients, oversee audit and accounts assignments, and work closely with Partners and the wider team to deliver a high-quality, commercially focused service. This is a client-facing role offering opportunities to develop client relationships, support business development and help develop junior team members. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate clients and act as a key point of contact.
  • Plan and manage audit, accounts preparation and outsourcing assignments.
  • Lead and review audit assignments, ensuring work meets professional and quality standards.
  • Review and finalise accounts, audit files and corporation tax work.
  • Respond promptly to client and third-party queries, including HMRC.
  • Work with Partners to manage WIP and progress assignments through to completion and billing.
  • Supervise, coach and develop junior team members, including providing feedback and appraisals.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and support Partners with advisory and value-added assignments.

About You - Essential

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing or supervising staff within practice.
  • Proven experience leading audits.
  • Strong knowledge of audit, accounts preparation and corporate taxation.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Desirable

  • FCA or FCCA qualification.
  • Experience working with charities and/or academies.
  • Experience in business development, networking or advisory work.
