Job Duties: Join Civitta – an international company where over 750 colleagues work in more than 20 countries. We offer consulting, digital, financing, and public sector reform services in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and other markets around the world.

Support universities, research institutions, and companies in obtaining Horizon Europe and other EU funding. From creating consortiums to writing applications and coordinating projects, you will be involved throughout the entire funding period. Here, you will shape projects from start to finish, collaborate with leading researchers, and see how your work creates real impact. We are looking for a consultant for our international cooperation competence center to help clients secure European direct support, draft competitive funding applications, and successfully implement funded research and innovation projects. The role combines collaboration with clients and partners, drafting funding applications, conducting research and analyses, and supporting project managers in administrative implementation. The selected candidate will work with research and development institutions, universities, companies, public sector organizations, and international consortiums, helping them transform innovative ideas into high-quality projects with clear impact and a sustainable implementation plan. The position requires strong analytical and writing skills, knowledge of EU research and innovation funding, and the ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously in an international working environment.

Your future duties:

Drafting Horizon Europe funding applications:

  • contribute to the creation of competitive applications, from initial concept development with the client and partners to the submission of the application;
  • translate technical and scientific concepts into clear, persuasive, and evaluator-oriented texts;
  • support the formation of consortiums, defining partner roles, and distributing responsibilities;
  • contribute to application budgeting, resource planning, and eligibility assessment;
  • support clients during final submission and, if necessary, in the preparation of the Grant Agreement.

Implementation of Horizon Europe projects:

  • conduct market, competition, technology, and stakeholder analyses;
  • develop implementation and uptake strategies for research and innovation results;
  • translate research and technology developments into business and societal value propositions;
  • develop strategic recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis;
  • support clients and consortiums in the technical implementation of funded projects;
  • provide technical support to project coordinators and work package leaders;
  • support communication and collaboration between consortium partners;
  • support the preparation of project meetings, steering committee meetings, workshops, and reporting.

Other requirements:

Expectations for the candidate:

  • Master's degree in economics, business administration, innovation, biotechnology, medicine, materials technology, engineering, environmental sciences, social sciences, or another relevant field;
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in consulting, innovation management, research and innovation activities, EU funding, project management, or a similar field;
  • excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills;
  • ability to understand complex technical and scientific information and transform it into structured, understandable, and persuasive content;
  • strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • very good English language skills (C2) both spoken and written.

Experience is a plus:

  • successfully drafting or contributing to EU funding applications;
  • knowledge of the Horizon Europe project cycle, including application drafting, evaluation, Grant Agreement preparation, and project implementation;
  • knowledge of Horizon Europe instruments (e.g., RIA, IA, CSA, MSCA, EIC, WIDERA, or European partnerships);
  • innovation management, technology transfer, or commercialization;
  • life cycle assessment (LCA), techno-economic assessment (TEA), market research, or business model development;
  • knowledge of EU taxonomy, sustainability, circular economy, climate, energy, biotechnology, digital technologies, or other innovation sectors;
  • ability to use AI-based tools in research, analysis, content creation, information structuring, and productivity enhancement, along with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
