Why you will love this opportunity as Data Quality Analyst at Civica

This is a detail-focused role within our ArborSafe Production team, helping ensure the arboricultural data and reports we provide to customers are accurate, consistent and ready for delivery. You will review information collected by field arborists, identify errors or gaps, resolve queries and turn reviewed data into clear, professional customer reports.

A significant part of the role involves proofreading and document quality assurance. You will check spelling, grammar, formatting, pagination, headings, tables, images and project details, while ensuring reports accurately reflect the underlying source data. Your work will help reduce rework, improve delivery times and support reliable outcomes for customers managing tree-related risk across their sites.

This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys structured, methodical work and takes pride in getting the details right. You do not need an arboricultural qualification. Training on ArborSafe systems and processes will be provided, with technical matters referred to qualified specialists.

On a day to day, what you will be doing:

  • Review, validate and edit tree inventory and assessment data collected by field arborists, checking for completeness, consistency, anomalies and incorrect formatting.
  • Proofread and finalise customer reports, carefully checking spelling, grammar, document structure, pagination, headings, tables, images and presentation.
  • Confirm customer, site and project details are accurate and consistent across reports and supporting files.
  • Identify unclear, incomplete or conflicting information, document queries clearly and work with arborists or technical contacts to resolve them.
  • Apply review checklists, templates, naming conventions, quality standards and document-control requirements consistently.
  • Manage assigned priorities and maintain accurate job status information to support agreed production schedules and customer delivery timeframes.
  • Escalate matters requiring arboricultural judgement or unresolved quality concerns, while protecting the integrity of the original technical assessment.
  • Contribute practical ideas that improve report quality, workflow consistency and efficiency across the Production team.

  • The ability to interpret structured or technical information, follow defined standards and recognise when clarification is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is highly regarded.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to balance quality and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Confidence working autonomously within established processes, while seeking guidance when requirements are unclear.
  • Experience with workflow, document-management or proprietary software is helpful, but training will be provided.
