Job Summary
Support site Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) operations by managing compliance, conducting safety assessments, delivering training, and collaborating with project teams to maintain a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager, WSH Officer, and Environmental Control Officer in managing site SHE operations to ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards.
- Act as a Safety Assessor for Permit-to-Work applications, evaluating risks and approving safe work procedures.
- Implement and monitor statutory and authority SHE requirements on site to maintain compliance and minimize hazards.
- Conduct safety inductions for new workers and site personnel to ensure awareness of safety protocols and site-specific risks.
- Organize and deliver SHE-related training programs and initiatives to enhance workforce safety knowledge and practices.
- Coordinate and arrange resources for SHE-related works in support of the occupier’s safety objectives.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to identify and mitigate safety risks and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure public safety compliance across all work zones by monitoring activities and enforcing safety measures.
Required competencies and certifications
- Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) with Work-at-Height (WAH) Assessor certification.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a WSH Coordinator.
- Strong communication skills in English to liaise effectively with authorities and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and influence workers on safety practices.
- Willingness to work non-standard hours with off-in-lieu provided.
- Willingness to work 6 days per week.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in LTA / infrastructure projects.
- Certified Confined Space Safety Assessor and First Aider.
- Possession of own transport.
