Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project schedules aligned with contract completion dates to ensure timely delivery
• Prepare and update baseline programmes, 6-month look-ahead, 3-month, and 4-week rolling schedules for effective project tracking
• Create and coordinate CIP programmes with SWCs to support project milestones
• Develop revised baseline and recovery programmes to address major schedule slippages and maintain project timelines
• Prepare monthly progress reports including Progress S-curves to communicate project status to stakeholders
• Coordinate with client planners on programme and progress issues to align project objectives
• Liaise with departments and project teams to integrate relevant information into project schedules for accurate implementation
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for internal and external stakeholders to maintain transparency
• Maintain detailed records of significant events relevant to contractual claims to support project documentation

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline from a recognized institution
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel for construction planning and programme management
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction planning and programme coordination for railway projects

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in construction planning and programme management for civil works or infrastructure projects
• Relevant work experience in large-scale LTA projects
