The Associate Director supports the Executive Director/Deputy Executive Director in advancing the organisation’s mission by overseeing programmes, fundraising, partnerships, and volunteer engagement. The role ensures programmes are well-delivered, properly resourced, and aligned with strategic priorities and community needs, while working closely with staff, donors, volunteers, and partners to strengthen impact and sustainability. The Associate Director also contributes to organisational planning, stakeholder engagement, and compliance.

Strategic & Organisational Leadership

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the organisation’s programmes and services.
  • Ensure programmes are aligned with the organisation’s mission, strategic priorities, and intended beneficiary outcomes.
  • Establish programme performance indicators and monitor outcomes, impact, and service quality.
  • Identify opportunities for programme innovation, improvement, or expansion.
  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with funder and regulatory requirements.

Fundraising& Resource Development

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support programme sustainability and organisational growth.
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities including grants, donations, and corporate partnerships.
  • Lead grant proposal development, donor reporting, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate sponsors, foundations, and individual donors.
  • Support donor stewardship and engagement initiatives.

VolunteerManagement

  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit, engage, and retain volunteers.
  • Establish structured volunteer programmes that support organisational initiatives and programme delivery.
  • Ensure appropriate onboarding, training, and supervision of volunteers.
  • Promote a positive and meaningful volunteer experience.
  • Recognise volunteer contributions and foster long-term engagement.

Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organisations, corporate partners, government agencies, and sector stakeholders.
  • Represent the organisation at sector meetings, community events, and partnership engagements when required.
  • Support collaborative initiatives that enhance programme reach and community impact.

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Provide leadership and supervision to programme and volunteer management staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Support staff development, performance management, and capacity building.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure programme activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
  • Support organisational reporting requirements, including those related to funders and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain proper documentation and accountability in programme and volunteer management.
  • Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Strategic & Organisational Support

  • Support theExecutive Director in implementing the organisation’s strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Contribute to organisational planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on programme development, funding opportunities, and sector trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, Non-profitManagement, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6–10 years of relevant experience in programme management, fundraising, partnerships, or non-profit leadership.
  • Experience in the social service or charity sector is preferred. Familiarity with Singapore's charity, governance, and regulatory environment would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant management, donor engagement, or fundraising initiatives.
  • Experience managing volunteers and community partnerships .
  • Familiarity with governance and compliance requirements applicable to charities inSingapore is advantageous.
