UX/UI Social Brand Lead (6-Month Contract)

We are seeking an experienced lead to drive UX/UI design and delivery of a large-scale corporate website revamp and develop social design system and act as brand guardian for a Social CoE. Working closely with the project team and client stakeholders, you will translate user needs, business requirements and brand guidelines into clear, intuitive and accessible digital experiences.

Your day-to-day work will involve leading the end-to-end UX/UI design process: from user research to defining information architecture, user journeys and wireframes for responsive interface design, component specifications and design-to-development handover. You will collaborate with internal teams, client stakeholders and developers to ensure that designs are clearly documented, implementation-ready and delivered consistently across the website.

Responsibilities

  • Design Ownership: Own the end-to-end UX/UI design of the website, from concept through to launch.
  • UX Research & Analysis: Lead discovery activities and the analysis of user and business requirements. Translate findings into actionable UX recommendations and design decisions.
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Lead stakeholder workshops and present design rationale to senior client stakeholders.
  • Generative and adaptive UI : interfaces and content modules that assemble dynamically based on context, personalisation or AI output. Designers set the rules, guardrails and component logic rather than fixed screens.
  • Information Architecture & User Flows: Own and drive the development of sitemaps, navigation models, user journeys and task flows to improve content discovery and create an intuitive website experience.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Lead the creation of page-level wireframes and interactive prototypes that clearly communicate content hierarchy, functionality, interaction logic and responsive behaviour.
  • Responsive UI Design: Lead the creation of high-fidelity, responsive interface designs for agreed page templates and components, with consideration for accessibility, usability and consistency across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
  • Design Systems & Components: Own and evolve the project's design system, including UI components, design tokens, responsive rules, interaction states and usage guidelines.
  • Brand Guidelines & Playbooks: Apply brand guidelines consistently across all digital touchpoints, and drive the creation of brand playbooks, digital style guides and usage guidelines.
  • Design Documentation & Functional Requirements: Own the preparation of detailed, implementation-ready documentation, including template specifications, component behaviours, bilingual layout considerations and functional requirements documentation (FRD).
  • Design-to-Development Handover: Drive handover with developers to communicate design intent, clarify functional requirements, review implementation and ensure that the final output aligns with the approved designs.
  • Collaborative Design Process: Work closely with the project team, developers and client stakeholders to review requirements, present design solutions and incorporate feedback throughout the project.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead design QA during development by reviewing layouts, responsive behaviour, component usage, accessibility and overall visual consistency.
  • Team Guidance: Mentor and guide designers on the project, reviewing work for quality and consistency.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest UX/UI practices, accessibility standards, design-system approaches, tools and digital technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, including large-scale corporate website projects.
  • Experience leading or mentoring designers and managing design delivery across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong research, usability testing and synthesis skills.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in information architecture, user flows, wireframing, prototyping and high-fidelity interface design.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, Auto Layout, prototyping and design-system libraries.
  • Experience working with and developing brand guidelines, brand playbooks or digital style guides, and translating brand identity into digital experiences.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design, accessibility, usability and user-centred design principles.
  • Experience creating clear design specifications and preparing files for developer handover.
  • Experience creating functional requirements documentation (FRD) for website projects.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into practical, user-friendly design solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when documenting component states, interaction behaviours and responsive rules.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment, manage priorities and deliver work according to agreed timelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Familiarity with front-end development principles, including HTML, CSS and component-based implementation, is an advantage.
  • Experience building or leading design systems, component libraries or detailed implementation documentation is preferred.
  • Experience working on bilingual websites or multilingual layout requirements would be an advantage.
  • Experience designing social media assets or developing social media guidelines would be an advantage.
