Maintenance Engineer

Role: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Coventry Job Type: Full-time, permanent (days-based, Monday–Friday) Salary Range: £ + benefits About the Role We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a small but growing maintenance team at a well-established components manufacturing business. The company produces high-quality components primarily for the defence and advanced engineering sectors, and this role plays a vital part in keeping production running smoothly. This is a five-day, days-based role, making it ideal for an engineer currently working shifts who is looking for a better work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime Perform both mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repairs Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase machine reliability and efficiency Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment Work closely with production teams to support overall factory performance Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures What We're Looking For A time-served engineer or hold a relevant engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent) Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role, ideally within a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Experience working with CNC machinery, presses, or other production equipment is desirable A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team A full understanding of safe systems of work, including isolation procedures (LOTO) What's On Offer A stable, days-based role, no nights, no weekends, no shift pattern The opportunity to join a small, supportive and growing maintenance team Exposure to advanced manufacturing within the defence and engineering sectors Ongoing training and development opportunities Competitive salary and benefits package A secure, long-term career with a well-established business How to Apply If you're ready to step off the shift pattern and take the next step in your maintenance career, we'd love to hear from you.
