Senior Director - Technology Intelligence Unit

It is seeking an accomplished technology and strategy leader to drive technology intelligence and provide strategic insights that inform senior leadership decision-making.

Your tasks

• Lead the technology intelligence function, serving as an early-warning and evaluation capability to identify emerging technology trends and translate them into actionable strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Drive structured technology scanning and evaluation across priority domains, leveraging AI-assisted workflows and processes to enhance research efficiency and insight generation.
• Assess emerging technologies in terms of strategic relevance, maturity, commercial potential, adoption readiness and potential business impact.
• Develop high-quality insight papers, executive briefs and strategic recommendations to support senior management decision-making.
• Establish and apply structured evaluation frameworks to assess technology relevance, investment timing, opportunities and value creation potential.
• Engage senior stakeholders across business and functional teams to validate research findings, assess business applicability and align technology priorities with organisational objectives.
• Lead executive technology advisory forums, including agenda setting, content development, stakeholder alignment, meeting coordination and follow-up on key recommendations.
• Manage relationships with selected external partners, research organisations and industry experts to strengthen technology intelligence and support informed strategic assessments.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of relevant experience in technology strategy, corporate strategy, innovation, technology intelligence or management consulting. Experience in the telecommunications or broader technology sector is preferred.
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies, their development trajectories, commercial applications and potential impact on business models.
• Proven experience engaging and influencing C-suite executives and senior leadership stakeholders on strategic and technology-related matters.
• Excellent analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to synthesise complex technology developments into clear, concise and actionable insights.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to facilitate strategic discussions and build alignment across diverse teams.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to connect technology trends to organisational priorities and long-term value creation.
• Experience developing structured assessment methodologies, strategic frameworks or AI-enabled research workflows would be an advantage.
