Regional CMDB & IT Asset Management Lead (APAC)

Your tasks

You will work closely with Infrastructure, Service Management, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Application teams, and regional stakeholders to strengthen CMDB governance, improve service visibility, and support strategic technology initiatives.

CMDB Governance & Strategy

• Own and govern the regional CMDB and Configuration Management process across APAC.
• Define CMDB operating standards, governance frameworks, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive CMDB maturity, standardisation, and alignment with enterprise and global governance frameworks.

ServiceNow & IT Asset Management

• Lead regional ServiceNow ITAM implementation and CMDB enhancement initiatives.
• Manage master asset data onboarding, validation, and governance to ensure high-quality configuration data.
• Oversee asset lifecycle governance and data management across regional entities.

Data Quality & Service Mapping

• Establish controls to ensure CMDB accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
• Drive data certification, exception management, remediation activities, and continuous quality improvement.
• Develop and maintain configuration item (CI) relationships, service mapping, and asset-to-service dependencies.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Lead the regional CMDB/ITAM function, providing guidance to analysts and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Application teams, and regional stakeholders to improve service delivery and governance.
• Manage vendors, promote CMDB best practices, and drive user adoption through training and continuous engagement.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Regional CMDB & IT Asset Management Lead to drive Configuration Management Database (CMDB) governance, IT Asset Management (ITAM), and ServiceNow initiatives across the APAC region. This role will be responsible for establishing regional standards, improving data quality, leading ServiceNow implementation projects, and ensuring accurate configuration and asset data to support operational excellence and technology governance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Configuration Management, IT Asset Management, Service Management, or IT Infrastructure Operations.
• At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
• Strong knowledge of CMDB governance, IT Asset Management, operational controls, and ITIL best practices.
• Experience improving processes, governance, and operational standards across regional or enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, process improvement, root cause analysis, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
• Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, service metrics, and management reporting.
• Good understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, operational risk, and service management processes.
• ServiceNow, ITIL, or related certifications will be an advantage.
