About the company
A reputable F&B group is seeking a Commis Chef / Junior Cook to join the culinary team at one of its vibrant dining concepts in Central or East Singapore. This role is suitable for candidates who are passionate about cooking, eager to learn and keen to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Your tasks
- Prepare ingredients according to established recipes and SOPs
- Check ingredients for quality and spoilage
- Learn essential kitchen techniques, including knife handling, cleaning, peeling and cutting
- Clean ovens, refrigerators, storage areas and kitchen equipment
- Collect storeroom items according to approved requisitions
Requirements
- Prior kitchen or F&B experience would be an advantage
- Able to prepare food accurately and consistently
- Good personal hygiene and commitment to kitchen cleanliness
- Open to learning different culinary techniques and working with a variety of ingredients
